Calvin Pearsall Obituary

Calvin Edwin Pearsall, 94, formerly of Salem, Oregon, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Addington Place in Burlington. Born August 3, 1930, in Elsmere, NE, he was the son of Howard and Helen Addis Pearsall. On August 1, 1950, he married Jeanette A. Sullivan in First Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon. They shared a loving marriage and were just weeks away from celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary. Calvin graduated from Salem High School and spent his early years working as a shoe salesman. He later took a job at a lumber yard, where he built doors then he drove a truck delivering building supplies across the pacific northwest. He became best known for his work in the construction field, where he spent many years building and remodeling homes. A long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Salem, Calvin served on the Property Committee, as a Deacon, and helped maintain the church grounds and facilities. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. When he wasn't outdoors, he could often be found in his woodworking shop, pursuing his passion for craftsmanship. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette A. Pearsall of Burlington; daughter, Diana (Dave) Cretsinger of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren, Alex, Amy and Aubrey; six great-grandchildren, Paisley, Ryder, Charlotte, Jaxon, Kipton and Hazel; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jan Wink, brother, Robert Pearsall and sister, Shirley Vogel. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
