Melissa Pike Obituary

Pike, Melissa Layne (nee Lyman)

February 16, 1963 - October 13, 2023

Melissa Layne Pike (nee Lyman), 60, of Joplin, MO, passed away suddenly on October 13, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1963, in Del City, OK.

Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Bronna Lyman (Cain); and her siblings, Cara and Ronnie. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Ronald and Patricia Lyman, of Fairless Hills, PA; her children, Beau Barton, Whitney Brown, Jeremy Barton, and Ricky Barton, all of Oklahoma; her sisters, Kimberly (Chris) Sargent, of Barrington, NJ; Karen (David) Campling, of Audubon, NJ; her brother, Ronald (Adrienne) Lyman, of Flemington, NJ; her adored grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Melissa was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a caring sister, and a doting grandmother. She found immense joy in the company of her beloved grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

Melissa's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. We take solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace, at home with the Lord, and reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.

Services will be private.

Oh Melissa we were once super good friends and you were a wonderful person. I had no idea you passed away and I will always remember the friendship we had in our 20's. The Vonnae Apts. where you and Rick lived directly across from Rod and I. We sure had some fun and interesting times! You were one of my early life true friendships and your gone way too soon. Love you, Holly
