We were friends during basic training in Ft Campbell.
I still have a picture of him and I clowning around with a cigar and our helmet liners on. I remembered that he was from Colorado and often wondered where he ended up after basic. I figured we both went to Nam and I tried locating him again thinking he must be somewhere in Colorado. We didn't know each other long but he struck me as a really cool guy. Sorry I could never track him down before he came up in the obits. I'm sure he's missed as he touched the livess of those around him.

There are no words to express how much we will miss you and your gentle, giving nature.Your sense of humor, smile and love of life. Your williness to improve whatever you saw wrong in society is something we all should embrace. You brought such happiness to Kay. Be assured we will help her in any way we can...but nothing nor anyone will ever bring her the love and comfort that you did.Until we see you again, rest in peace Colton; know we love you... Uncle Pat rocks! I've never met anyone cooler and more fascinating in my whole life. I can remember walking with him in the woods or just sitting with him to watch the family and discussing the important things in life. He was an example of looking beyond and seeking God's blessings before us. I will miss you dearly Uncle Pat. We'll see you again soon enough. Love you.

What a wonderful example you set for me in the times you were around. You are one of the funniest and kindest people I've ever known. My heart is broken for not only Aunt Kay, but for our entire family, who was looking forward to everyday life with you when you moved to New York. I hope to see you in eternity.

What wonderful memories of you, Pat! You are a very special part of our family, and we always knew we'd be laughing when you were around. We were so looking forward to the day you and Kay moved to NY so we'd get to spend more time with you. I know you'll be watching over Kay, but I want you to know the rest of us will be here for her too. We love you "brother", and will miss you terribly. God Bless you and Kay always.
