Gary Henderson Graham has left this place and the people he loved dearly for a place he loves even more. He passed away peacefully at his home at 2300 Lorraine Circle, Searcy, Ark., on Friday, July 8, 2022.
Born in Noblesville, Ind., to Marjorie Ann Henderson Graham and Frank Harry Graham on Jan. 3, 1940, he lived with his parents though his graduation from Noblesville High School Class of 1958. He then immediately reported for military service wIth the Navy, serving for eight years.
While on leave from the military, he returned to Noblesville to visit with hIs parents; while there he met the love of his life who went on to become his wife for 61+ years.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the military, Gary became a dedicated worker at Graham's Appliance Service Company. There, he worked in partnership with his brother-in-law, Billy Wayne Parchman of Parchman's Commercial Construction Company, and taught many high school students Building Trades.
His greatest loves were his wife and children and all his extended family. He was so happy to be a part of such a godly, close and loving group. He was a great tease and showed his love for his two children, nieces and nephews, all extended family members, and any child he met by teasing them to tears, and they all loved him despite it. He always said he only teased people he loved, or at least liked.
Many weekends were spent with his family at the lake water skiing and tubing. Gary always drove the ski boat and would do his best to throw the skier or tuber off into the lake. On one occasion, he was determined to throw his son from a tube by speeding in circles. Upon arriving ashore, Gary was extremely seasick, and his son was still in the tube.
Including his wife, Norma Helen Parchman Graham, he is survived by his granddaughter, Kristen Leigh Graham; two sisters, Judith Ann Graham Abel (Thomas) and Mary Kay Graham Ammerman (Jerry); and a large number of extended family.
Preceding him to the place they all love were his parents; two children, Gary Kevin Graham and Kimberly Dawn Graham; and two nephews, Douglas Gene Kirk and David Dewayne Parchman.
Gary leaves behind many loving memories for all to enjoy and share for many years to come. He will be mIssed by all of his loving family, friends and acquaintances.
Everyone is invited to join the family for services and a celebration of Gary's life on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the McRae First Baptist Church in McRae, Ark.
