Horatio Terrence Lord

April 10, 1948 — October 26, 2024

Springdale, MD

Horatio Terrence Lord passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, sister-in-law, and loved ones, after a well-lived and happy life. He loved all types of music, especially the Steel Pan and Calypso/Soca music from his native Trinidad and Tobago. Horatio was known for his big heart, brilliant smile, and infectious laugh and was an avid storyteller of times and days past. He will be dearly missed.

Terrence, as he was popularly known, was born on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago in 1948 to Fenwick and Octavia Lord, and was known for his athleticism as the goalie for his school and company soccer teams, family weekend trips, as well as his love of cars.

Terrence was introduced to Catherine, the love of his life, in 1970 by a close friend. He pledged his love to her beneath a Sycamore tree. Excited to start their lives together, they were married in 1971. They celebrated their 53rd Wedding anniversary a few months before his passing.

Terrence and Catherine couldn’t wait to start their own family; they were blessed to have children and grandchildren who meant the world to them.
