Carolyn Rollins Obituary

Carolyn Ann Rollins, age 75, slipped away from this Earth and into the arms of her Heavenly Father on the evening of June 10th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert E. Rollins and Ollie B. Rollins; and her brother, Robert E. Rollins, Sr. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Dawn McCormack (Billy); Robert E. Rollins, Jr.; Kathy Buscarello; John Rollins; and Elizabeth Rollins; along with their children and grandchildren. Carolyn was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and was a 1964 graduate of Tarrant High School. She obtained her Master Barber Certification and established her own business, Country Clipper, which she operated in Cumming, Georgia, and later in Ashville, Alabama, where she resided at the time of her death. She loved dancing with her Magic City Boppers and Beach Bum friends, and the beach was her "happy place". She was a spunky, sweet, generous, infuriating and dear friend to many. Carolyn chose to be cremated, and will be buried beside her mother in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. A graveside service and memory gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite animal rescue or shelter.

So very sorry to hear this. My grandmother was Annie Mae Rollins of Tarrant City whose husband was James Wesley Rollins. I remember your mom Olliebell as I called her. I was a Davis before I married. Sylvia ( Davis) Cater

The graveside service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, August 7th, 11:00 a.m., at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, 1591 Gadsden Hwy. Carolyn´s grave site is in the Garden of the Christus, facing the highway. Two tents will be set up, so it should be easy to find.

Carolyn wanted our gathering to be a time for sharing, so please feel free to bring a special memory, scripture, poem, prayer, song, or whatever you would like to share. We hope to see you there.

You were a great friend to me Carolyn, I was sad when you moved back to Alabama, but I knew you had to care for your mom. No one ever cut my hair as good as you did. We laughed and cried together, and had some wonderful times together. I love you and miss you, my friend.

I knew Carolyn for many years while she lived in center point and later in Trussville. She was a good friend to me during a dark time in my life and I am grateful for her having been there. I lost touch with her later in life and often wondered how she was. I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing and I humbly offer my condolences to her family. RIP- Carol, gone but never forgotten.

We had many fun times together when I lived in Pinedale. From trying to get the boat started, boating, jet skiing, and many bottles of wine while watching the sunset. Until we meet again. Luv ya man...
