Daniel Murray Obituary

'Loved his family, his Country, and his Faith' Daniel A. Murray, 88, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away peacefully, in the company of his children after a brief illness (not Covid) on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He is survived by his children: Nancy Murray, Janet Murray (Julia), Daniel, Murray, Jr. (Mandy), and Thomas Murray (Amy). He is also the grandfather of Lauren Murray-Greve (Christopher), Kate Murray and Anna Murray; and great grandfather to Brooke Van Emburgh and Lydia Greve. And also survived by many nieces and nephews. Daniel served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952-55, having done his basic training at the Coast Guard base in Cape May, NJ. After his time in the service, Daniel worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone, St. Mary's Parish in South Amboy; and Linden Motor Freight. He later retired from Bell Laboratories in Piscataway, NJ. Thanks to his time in the Coast Guard in Cape May, Daniel and his beloved wife of 62 years Helen Jane (nee Barry) chose to retire to Cape May Court House. He loved his family, his Country, and his Faith. Public Viewing will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Services continue Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Notre Dame De La Mer, St. Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ 08260. Viewing from 10 to 10:45. Mass will start at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
