Virginia Graham Obituary

Virginia, known as Ginger, was born in Brownsville, Texas. She came to California with her family in 1942 and settled in Point Loma in 1946, where she met her neighbor and future husband, Calvin Graham. They were married after Cal graduated from UC Berkeley, in 1953. Ginger was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker, with her cooking being a favorite of many friends and family. She was a loyal and faithful friend to all who met her. If anyone was sick, Ginger was known to leave a pot of homemade soup, crackers and 7 up on their porch. She loved a good rainstorm, cooking and entertaining and traveling with her family and friends. She loved going to the Ocean Beach staple, Nati's, for Mexican food. She also loved Halloween, as she hosted the entire neighborhood and trick-or-treaters to a buffet including her 'famous' chili. She was an active member of the PTA for all the years her son, Johnny, was in Point Loma schools. Ginger is survived by her son, Johnny Graham, who still resides in the family home in Point Loma, and she will be missed by many, including her best friend and traveling buddy, Marilila.
Ginger will be cremated and laid to rest alongside her husband at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Sorry for your loss John. Never met your Mom despite living in her apartment building since 1985. May you find peace and heal in your own time. Ted
