Edward Pearson Obituary

Edward Alan Pearson Edward (Ed) Alan Pearson, 78, of Wyomissing, was a beloved husband, father and pop. He passed away on March 7, 2022, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 9, 1943, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Alice Victoria (Johnson) Pearson. He leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah Ann (Laurianti) Pearson. Together, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters and their families: Alyssa, wife of Peter Borsuk and their children, Natalie, Caitlyn, and Brendan; and Erica, wife of Vinny DeCandido and their children, Justin and Gabriella. Everyone who knew Ed, knew he was kind. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for a neighbor, friend or family member. He was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church, Reading. He worked for over 40 years at Materion (formerly Brush Wellman Inc). In his free time, he loved working in his yard and gardening, perusing home design books, antiquing and refinishing furniture. Ed was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Arthur Pearson. He is survived by two siblings, Lois Griffith and Donald Pearson. A visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, in honor of his deep love for his country. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.

I will keep Ed in a special place in my heart, he was a mentor to me and taught me to learn patience and to not take my life so seriously. I had the pleasure to work with Ed at Brush Wellman for 10 years and he was always smilling and grateful. I will never forget his big laugh and his demand for a properly made old fasion. (I had one tonight in his memory) --- Ed my old friend, you will be missed,,the team rattled out your passing in grand fashion today through emails and texts. Put in a good word (or 10) to St Peter for me (and a few others)! God bless you and your family. We were all better because of you in our lives.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed at Brush Wellman. He was loved by everyone: kind, capable, well-prepared, and he was always willing to help out. May God hold him, and his family, in the palm of His hand. Thank you, Ed....we´ll miss you.
