Jane Wyckoff Obituary

Jane Wyckoff, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully after a tough battle with Leukemia on December 6, 2024 in Santa Cruz, California.

Jane was born in South San Francisco on October 10,1957 and lived in California her entire 67 years. She grew up in Redwood City and lived most of her adult life in Felton where she felt fortunate to live among the beautiful Redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. After attending San Diego State University, Jane received a B.A. degree in business from Sonoma State University. She then decided to become an Electrician. She attended school where she excelled and graduated at the top of her class. She joined the IBEW LU332 and worked 15 years in the field. She met her husband, Richie, on the job, and they went on to create a beautiful family and life together. She collected friends all along the way and remained in contact with many throughout the years. She was an avid reader, an adventurer, and lover of all things with fur and feathers. Her absolute passion and joy was having the fortune of staying home and lovingly raising her two children Kristine Cella and Kenny Cella.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Cella Jr. and children, Kristine Cella and Kenny Cella. Other survivors include her mother, Mary Wyckoff, siblings John Wyckoff (Jackie), Don Wyckoff (Svetlana) and Beth Smith (Bill). She was pre-deceased by her father Bruce Wyckoff. She is also survived by cherished cousins, friends and beloved pets Violet, Ruthie and Jaws.

A considerate, kind hearted but sensible folk- minded lady, I always felt lucky to have briefly been in her orbit, but found all in all a compassionate, bright soul who was just a joy to be a neighbor to, and all the world will miss the confidant lady and no matter what any could blame or say about me in the days I knew her, I believe she is the only one I felt sad to have been misunderstood by. If I let her down I figured we could talk it out next time we met....how fast that time dissolves away and now I regret her loss profoundly and send my regards and hugs to any and all that raise an "aye! aye!" when it comes to Jane I will sadly miss her but will always salute her, our bright good folk Lady Jane. Love ~M
