Ed and I went through a lot together, I mean a real slice of life - although I haven't seen him or Madzy for the past decade, I had a feeling something happened - so I looked this up. I hope his transition is peaceful into the light ~ Gary Sorkin

I offer condolences to the family and friends that had the pleasure to have Ed in their lives. To Madzy, I feel your pain in loosing a best friend. I know you will find peace moving forward as Ed would want all of us to enjoy our time left before reuniting with him in eternity.
I will always remember Ed for his welcoming spirit, witty character and love for his family. I enjoyed our visits and appreciated his inquisitive mind and questioning. Ed loved his country and the life it provided him. He worked hard for what he had. Earned not gifted. He was still making repairs and handling the business until most recently. We can all wish to have lived such a life and be loved by so many. Way to go Ed!
Job well done.

I feel honored to have know Ed for the past 20 years. He was such a smart and witty guy eager to help with any problem big or small. He loved his family dearly and to get to witness that is something I treasure. His heart for others was as big as his laugh! Ed will be so missed by those of us lucky enough to have crossed his path. I have no doubt he will be keeping an eye on things and loving his people from afar. A big thank you to his fam for sharing him with us all! So much love to you as you navigate life with an Ed shaped hole in your heart.

I knew Ed my entire life. He was always filled with such great humor and his laugh was very contagious. I remember him teaching me how to water ski at a young age. Ed and I both had a strong passion for music and playing the guitar. When I came over he would always play the guitar with me.
Ed will be sorely missed but I know his exuberant spirit lives on and is playing the guitar in heaven.

Ed had a gravitational pull, a presence that filled any room. He was a master craftsman, a wise mentor, and a man who lived with purpose. Even as he aged, his mind and expertise were sharp, guiding others with his vision. He had a way of making you feel both challenged and supported, like a parent who always wanted the best for you. I'm so thankful for the time I spent in his orbit.

Dear Ed,

Our friendship was too brief. We surely would have had so much fun making art, building projects, and playing guitar, but I am very grateful to have known you at all. You are very loved.

To my dearest friend Ed, It is hard for me to put into words how important you were in my life. You were like my big brother and I have cherished our relationship for the last 43 years and 4 months. From watching our kids grow up, vacationing together, parties at your home, and many meals together we stayed friends. You stuck by me in good times as well as some of my darkest moments. It feels like I have known you forever and really too
many life experiences to ever list or remember. We were brothers and I could not have asked for a better friend. There is a void in my life now that you have passed but I take solace in the fact that you will live on in my heart and soul. Rest easy my old friend. Love you Ed! Brett Harte
