Carole Piccolo Obituary

Dauphin – Carole Jeanne Piccolo, 75, passed away at Nottingham Village on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1946 in Harrisburg, to the late Nicholas and Jeanne W. (Matthews) Piccolo. Carole was devoted and caring to all who knew and loved her. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, including preparing and serving special meals to them. When she wasn't cooking, she looked forward to her monthly dining out experiences with the "Golden Girls." Carole enjoyed traveling, especially her most recent trip to Italy with her cousin. She retired from a long career at PHFA in 2008. During her retirement, she was a member of Dauphin-Middle Paxton Historical Society. She also pursued her love for art and maintained her artistic endeavors by taking art classes and continuing to sketch. Her presence will be greatly missed by all. Carole is survived by her sons, John R. Hahn III and wife, Donna, Michael A. Hahn, and Matthew J. Hahn; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Thomas, Mitchell Hahn, Sarah Hahn, and Natalie Hahn; 3 great grandchildren, Lilly, Payten, and Lylah; brothers, Joe Piccolo and Nick Piccolo and wife, Jeri, and sisters, Beth Fronk and husband, John, and Pam Piccolo. A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. A service will be at 11 am, followed by a luncheon. She will be interred at Duncannon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Condolences can be sent on Bitnercares.com.

So many happy, lifelong memories of Carole. The Piccolo kids got pretty dirty playing at our house on Erie Street. Helping dig out the dirt bank along our driveway, playing in the sandbox, wading in the creek, and sliding down the little hill on pieces of cardboard boxes. She had a lovely singing voice and grew up into such a sweet, kind lady. I always beeped when I drovd past her house on the "bumpy" road. Sending thoughts and prayers to Nick, Beth and Pam and the Hahns.

Thoughts and prayers are with all of you as I think of our young lives growing up next door to you in Dauphin. So many of our old photos include you! I remember when Carol worked at the bank and her talking about her little ones. I don´t think anyone could have had a better childhood growing up in Dauphin. We just lost Dad in December, so our family understands the loss of a dear one. Cherish her memory
