Margaret Ferracane Obituary

Margaret Ann Ferracane, born in Cassleton, North Dakota, August 12, 1930, passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2025. She was one of twelve children who worked on the family farm in North Dakota. She came to Watsonville at age 19 to work for her uncle George Schipper and later her brother Bob Pollock as a bookkeeper.

It was here that she met Phillip Ferracane. They married on January 19, 1958, raising three wonderful children: David, Karen, and Nancy. Margo, as she was affectionately called, was an avid baker, gardener, Golden State Warriors fan, and a kind and loving mom.

The family would like to THANK Doctor Eby, Doctor Dulbecco, and Hospice of Santa Cruz County for their great care and compassion. Margo is preceded by her loving husband, Phillip Ferracane (2012). She is survived by her children: David (Peggy) Ferracane, Karen Major (Willie), Nancy McKenna (Patrick); grandkids: Michael Ferracane (Erica), Amy Ferracane (Brad), Chad Major, Phillip Major, Kaylee Leal, Catherine Leal; her brothers and sisters: David Pollock (Jackie), Judy Peterson (Curt), Dorothy Prindiville, Patsy Schultz (Larry), Linda Hill (Darryl). She also leaves her precious great-grandkids which brought her so much joy, Cooper and Wyatt.

At Margo's request, there will be no services. Memorial donations can be made in Margaret's name to Hospice of Santa Cruz County.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted by Mehls Colonial Chapel.

To my cousins and families of David & Peggy Ferracane, Karen & Willie Majors, & Nancy & Patrick McKenna, as it is with deep shared sorrow hearing of the passing of your mother, my Aunt Margo. My sympathies go out to all of you. You are all so fortunate to have had her in your lives for so long. That is truly a blessing to be treasured. The longer she had been part of your lives, the greater the amount of memories you will be able to hold on to cherish her remembering her spirit by keeping her alive in your hearts. My sympathies go out to the whole family as I hope you find peace and solace during this difficult time knowing that she is with God and all his greatness in paradise. - The Hallenbergs - Chris, Patrice, Arianna, & Sophia. Our prayers are with you.
