Marian May Prigg, 94, passed away peacefully, in her home, Saturday, April 2, 2022. A devoted mother and grandmother, her kindness and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her. She was born February 26, 1928, to Benjamin and Esther Rozner, immigrants from Austria-Hungry.
Marian is survived by her five loving children, Thomas (Vickie), Timothy, David (Bonnie), Susan Mansfield (Glenn), and Sandra Monteverde (Robert).
She was preceded in death by her son, James and daughter-in-law, Laura; her many grandchildren, Ruth Scott, Christy Hart, Timothy Prigg Jr., Sherry Taylor, James Stainbrook, James Prigg Jr., Billy Jo Camacho, Thomas Prigg Jr., Julia Jones, Jodie Walker, A.J. Monteverde, Robin Ceschin, Jeremy Monteverde; and many great-grandchildren.
Marian enjoyed gardening, art, painting, sketching, and reading. She was passionate about her family and taking care of them, and enjoyed cooking them meals. Marian planted large gardens, and enjoyed preserving foods and sharing natural remedies. She was famous for her cookies and pies.
A private memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 5.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pittsburgh Food Bank.
