Houston- Mr. James Wade Edwards, 55, passed away on February 3, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Mr. Edwards was born on October 15, 1966, in Charleston, Mississippi to Quinton Thomas Edwards and Gladys Carolyn Ransom Edwards. Wade was a lifelong employee of Peoples Livestock in Houston. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Houston Funeral Home in Houston on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Fred Hartley & Bro. Scott Samuel officiating.
Visitation will be held at Houston Funeral Home in Houston on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada, Mississippi, where he will be laid to rest by his brother, Thomas Ray Edwards.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his mother, Carolyn (Tom) Hodge of Houston; his daughter, Morgan Edwards of Water Valley; his sister, Kayla (Jon) Murphree of Houston; his stepsisters, Candace (David) McMahan of Grenada and Debbie Logan of Calhoun City; his stepbrother, Tom Hodge III of Calhoun City; his niece, Kalyn Rae Murphree and her nephew, Jon Hodge Murphree, both of Houston.
Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by the mother of his daughter, Kim Morgan, his father, and his two brothers, Thomas Ray Edwards, and John T. Hodge.
Pallbearers will be Dana Russell, Michael Russell, Timbo Sandifer, Ethan Sandifer, Jon Hodge Murphree, and Tim Allen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Gillespie, Jim Garth Horn, Fred Clark, Keith Roberson and the Houston Graduating Class of 1985.
