Trevor King, age 27 of Platteville, WI passed away on August 19, 2024, in Madison, Wisconsin, due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He was a beacon of joy to all who knew him. Born on June 7, 1997, in San Diego, California, the son of Tracy Butson and Timmothy King. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Trevor was the cherished son of Tracy (Ben Adamsukim) Butson and Tim (Melissa) King. His vibrant spirit was matched by the love he had for his family, including his son, Jasper King, his fiancée, Paige Adams, and his siblings, Ireln King, Lance (Taylor) Butson, Alan Butson, Krystal (Anthony) Steinback, and stepbrother Jackson (Jessica) Garwell. He was a beloved grandson to Allen (Jean) King and Audrey Bond, step grandfather David (Liz) Wilson, a treasured nephew to his uncle's Gavin (Heather) King, Steve (Ann) Andrews, and step aunt Elizabeth Dean. Trevor's closest companion and best friend, Will Pence, alongside many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, will deeply miss his presence.
Trevor was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Kathryn King, maternal grandfather: Ronald Andrews. Stepfather: Alan Butson and special friend: Tommy Greenwood.
A graduate of Mineral Point High School, Trevor was a lifelong learner who furthered his education at Southwest Technical College. He was not only EMS certified but also served his community with pride as a volunteer firefighter. His dedication to helping others was a testament to his character.
Trevor's adventurous spirit was evident through his proud association with the Matadors Motorcycle Club, where he found camaraderie and a shared passion for the open road.
Above all, Trevor loved working on anything with an engine, a passion that he could skillfully turn to repair or revitalize. His love for the outdoors was boundless - hunting, fishing, and camping were activities he not only enjoyed but also opportunities for him to connect deeply with nature. Yet, the moments he cherished the most were those spent with Jasper, his son, and Paige, his fiancée, who were the center of his world.
Described by those who knew him as friendly, adventurous, and spirited, Trevor's approach to life was one of boundless enthusiasm and genuine warmth. He approached every day with a can-do attitude and a willingness to help others, traits that earned him the respect and affection of all who knew him.
Trevor's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life fully. His impact on the world was as profound as the engines he loved to tinker with, and his memory will forever be a beacon of joy for those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Trevor King will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created will be treasured forever in the hearts of his beloved family and friends.
His giving nature was exemplified in the most selfless act of all; as an organ donor, he continued to give life even after his passing, with his cousin being one of the many recipients of this precious gift.
