Ronald Wayne Slade, Jr., a resident of Black Rock Lane, passed away June 9, 2022 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Ron was born in Bennington on March 24, 1962 the son of Ronald Wayne Slade, Sr. and the late Emily Jane Burke. He attended schools in Winhall, Townshend and Burr & Burton Seminary in Manchester. Ron worked construction for many years especially home improvements. He loved fishing, hunting, telling stories and enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Ron is survived by his father Ronald Wayne Slade, Sr. (Carol) of Dorset, sons Justin Slade and Jesse Slade both of Rutland, step-sons Richard Jarvis (Kyle) of Manchester and Paul Secoy (Logan) of Sunderland, VT, step-daughters Nicole Morse (Jason) of Arlington, VT, Samantha Phillips (Josh) of Salem, NY and Melissa Secoy of Arlington, VT, sisters Veronica Blackmer (Fred) of Sunderland and Victoria Hewes (Herbert) of Manchester Center, nephews Rick Gaudette of Oregon and Taylor Hewes (Molly) of Sunderland, 4 nieces, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews and 6 grandchildren. A celebration of life for Ron will be held Monday June 20, 2022 at 6pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Monday June 20, 2022 from 4-6pm, 2 hours prior to the service. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Ron's memory may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center Patient Resource Fund, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P.O.
