Robert Shohan Obituary

Bob was born September 27th, 1936 to John and Irene (Szarka) Shohan. He graduated from Morris Hills High School, Rockaway, NJ. He was a star basketball player and continued his love of the sport by becoming a referee for High School and College games. He graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
In 1969 Bob married Margaret Youhas (deceased September 2019) whom he met while working at Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County. They moved to Aberdeen a few years later and continued his career as a Systems Analyst in the Satellite Division at Fort Monmouth in Eatontown. After retiring from Fort Monmouth, you would happily find him at the Freehold Raceway or Monmouth park.
He proudly served in the National Guard.
Bob is survived by his 3 children, Garrett Shohan and wife Debra, Cynthia Marino and husband Michael, Lori Mertz, his sister Dorothy Winch and his beloved grandchildren, John Marino and Victoria Micharski.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Covenant House.
Cremation will be private.
