With heavy, heavy hearts, we announce our warrior, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Richard "Rick" Sean McNulty, lost his battle with PTSD when the pain became unbearable on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
Rick was born on April 6, 1972, in Everrett, Washington, but grew up most of his life in Sequim, Washington and a short time in California. Rick always had a love for anything culinary and worked after high school at a few restaurants.
Rick entered the military at 26 years of age. He proudly served in the US Army and Utah Army National Guard. He served for a combined total of 18 years and his country is better for it. He was deployed to combat theatres such as Iraq and Kuwait where he served with distinction and honor. Rick ultimately retired as a Sergeant First Class (E7).
In 2006, Rick moved to Utah where he took a job as a carpenter at CLP Resources. That is where he met his wife of over 15 years. They married on January 12, 2007.
Rick's greatest joy in life was watching his family grow and learn. He loved teaching his boys to be respectful young men but was also still a boy at heart in many respects.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Heidi McNulty, his three sons Kaden Evan McNulty, Cole Steven McNulty and Miles Danger McNulty, and his brothers Jeffery Marc McNulty, Christopher Brian McNulty, and Richard James McNulty. Rick was proceeded in death by his grandparents, and his younger brother, Steven Patrick McNulty.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3rd, at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, located at 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services beginning at 4:00 PM.
