In the days of early college, when food and money was scarce, I met Hyon while selling sandwiches and M&M´s in freshman calculus class to support the Drexel Wrestling Team. You needed to sell them or buy them. I approached him as a complete stranger asking support to buy this merchandise. Hyon gave me the biggest smile that day with such a warm invitation for friendship, I will never forget. He was a loyal customer that day and after. Later that day I saw him again in my dorm floor when he was visiting our mutual friend and later fraternal brother Bill. Called me the M&M man out right with such friendship as soon as he saw me again. Our friendship blossomed from then on as a college roommate, fraternal little brother, study buddy, and confident.
We studied together in the same engineering curriculum. Formed a core study group with other outside fraternal members of our curriculum all helping to ensure we were successful in our studies. Developed a close bond in our "group" with later reunions between us. Hyon was the self appointed cook making sure we were comfortable with late evening quick simple spaghetti meals and ichaban egg drop soup cooking.
Hyon´s side business was the Pros; the one and only Cho Mama. Best DJ on campus. Girls calling him afar at his Arch St bedroom apartment to come out and play. Male friends becoming favored with the girls just by knowing him. At parties while spinning records, girls would scream, "Do you know him?" Sure. We do. Girls would give us those Madonna requests and we would relay them to this popular DJ. In this way, it helped me solidify a good 3 year girlfriend relationship at the time. Hyon stored his business in the trunk of his large brown Malibu, we often took to China Town in early morning hours.
After college, we had many good times with brothers and family: introduced my future wife at Olivia´s first 100 days, New Year´s (many of them), Eagle games, his shore house, golf outings, and his Tuscanny wedding. His Tuscanny wedding was a true celebration of love and friendship. His expressions of love for Amy, family, friends, celebrating, cooking, and dancing was exemplified in a five day celebration in the most beautiful Italian castle setting. Outside of celebrating, he was a serious person I could confide in. We had several heart to heart talks at strategic points of our lives.
As Hyon was my fraternal little brother, it was my duty to mentor and groom Hyon for brotherhood. In our relationship, it was he that was my mentor in life´s bigger lessons: his bigger than life spirit, living by example, generousity, outgoing friendship, and placement of family/people above all else.
Rest in peace my little brother. I will miss you.

After the last couple of years not seeing Amy and Peter, we were so looking forward to getting together with them. I am absolutely heart broken that I won't see Pete's smiling face anymore. My Love and deepest sympathy to Amy and all of Pete's family and friends. He will be missed so much.

Pete, always the life of the party. He was the DJ at our wedding 38 years ago as a gift to us. We are deeply saddened by the loss and can only pray he is smiling with the angels, playing music and watching over his family.

Pete was a great boss. He always stood up for me regardless of the circumstances. My very sincere condolences to his family.
