Patty J. (Joyner) Bovaird, of Brockway, PA, passed away at the age of 88 at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital on September 20, 2021. She was born on July 18, 1933, to the late William and Nellie (Morris) Joyner of Allens Mills, PA. She married William E. (Eddie) Bovaird Jr. on October 7, 1954, he preceded her in passing on February 22, 2017.
She is survived by one sister, Ann McGranor, of Reynoldsville, PA. Children include son Gary (Karen) Bovaird of Orlando, FL, son Michael (Patty) Bovaird of Brockway, PA and daughter Debra (Jan) Bedeaux of Brockway, PA. Numerous grandchildren include, Jeffrey and Angela Bovaird, Orlando, FL, Michael Bovaird of Tallmadge, OH, Terri Ann Cork of Girardeau, MO, Justin Meredith of Brockway, PA and Ashley Meredith, Tyrone, PA, with 4 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Patty was a proud member of the GBBA union of Brockway Glass Co., and worked at the Brockway facilities for decades, retiring at the young age of 55.
Patty was the life of the party everywhere she went, always making fun of herself to make others feel great. If you mentioned the word casino, she was right in your car ready to go, she loved them.
Services will be held privately for the family according to her wishes and have been entrusted to the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15825. Interment will take place at Temple Cemetery, Hazen, Jefferson CO., PA.
