Patricia Lou Kellett Fieno, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2022 after complications from surgery. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during the last days of her life. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert and Jessica Kellett on March 11, 1938. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1959 with a BSN and worked as a registered nurse in a varietyof roles. She lived in several states but called Charlotte, North Carolina home since 1987. She met her future husband while still in high school when they were on the same Junior Achievement team. They would have celebrated their 64th anniversary in December.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, and three children: Susan Leaver (Ed), Anne Cathey (Jack) and Bob Fieno (Gerri); seven grandchildren: Andrew Leaver, Michael Leaver, Samantha Thomas (Josh), Joshua Cathey (Maggie), Jessie Cathey, Elizabeth Fieno and Joseph Fieno; two sisters: Kathy Flaig (Dick) and Martha Hinchey (Frank); five nieces / nephews: Sarah Beswick (Paul), Eric Flaig, Beth Malloy (Kevin), Molly Hara (Jesse) and Frank Hinchey III; and ten great-nieces / nephews: Cora Beswick, Caleb Beswick, Colton Beswick, Ella Flaig, Josie Flaig, Christian Malloy, Patrick Malloy, Molly Malloy, Logan Hinchey and Colin Hinchey.
She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors and loved us well. She left a legacy of faith and love that will continue to have an impact for generations to come.
It is impossible to list all of the ways she is loved and remembered but here are a few: a mighty prayer warrior, Bible Study Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, Youth Choir Director, mentor, PTA volunteer, Girl Scout Leader, Softball Umpire, Library Volunteer, Nurse, Camp Nurse, knitter, crafter, gardener, greeting card sender extraordinaire, piano and guitar player, and a member of a recorder ensemble.
Many have shared what a difference she made in their lives and the stories start the same way - "She made me feel welcome, she always had a smile, she was my first friend at church / in the neighborhood, she was a great listener, she walked with me through difficult times." She always looked for new adventures or challenges and was a wonderful example of being a lifelong learner. When she made a friend who was deaf, she went to school to learn American Sign Language. We love you and will miss you but we know we will see you again!
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Pat was a special friend. We lost contact but I always thought about her. Sad to hear of her passing but know that I will see her again. She shared her crafting talent with all of us at Christian Women´s Connection and I always loved visiting with her between church services. Prayers for Joe and the whole family.

My heart goes out to all of the family during this time of loss. I have known the Fieno family from our days in Holliston. I have such wonderful memories of Pat at church and was always warmly welcomed in their home. And I am so blessed to have been able to spend some time with her back in October.
I´m grateful for the many memories and the impact she had on my life.
