Noreen McAuley Obituary

Noreen A. McAuley (nee Aiello), 81, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022. She was born in New York NY to Helen (née Rogers) and Ciro "George" Aiello and grew up in Astoria, NY. Noreen and her husband of 61 years Dan raised their family in many places before settling in Wyckoff, NJ in 1981. She was an avid reader and kept the Wyckoff library very busy. She enjoyed her swim classes at the Wyckoff Y. Noreen leaves two children Daniel McAuley (Mary Anne), of Glen Rock, NJ, and Nancy McAuley (Kathleen) also of Glen Rock. She was the adoring grandmother to three grandchildren: Anna of NYC, Daniel of Hoboken, NJ, and Ryan of Glen Rock, as well her grandpuppies Zoe, Phoenix, and Riley. Noreen is also survived by her sister Nancy Gein (Robert) of Palm Coast, FL, and brother George Aiello (Kathleen) of Bethel, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews, dear family members, and many wonderful friends.
Friends may visit the family from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday March 23, 2022, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Thursday at the St. Elizabeth's Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
