Maurice Martorella, 64 of Brooklyn, New York passed away on May 26, 2022. Beloved husband of Clare Martorella. Loving father of Andrew Martorella and Anna Martorella.

Maurice passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Maurice was a husband, father, self-employed publisher and reporter, occasional comedian, and friend to many. Even in Maurice's time of suffering, he was concerned about the well-being of others over his own. Maurice was loyal, an espresso enthusiast, and while stubborn at times; all the characteristics we so dearly cherished will be forever missed but, not forgotten. Maurice loved German shepherds, especially those he raised Rocky, Max, Jack, and Rico, which will now be reunited together for eternity. He loved his B&B, cannoli, and gelato that will be able to be eaten at any time of his pleasing in heaven and enjoyed in his favorite recliner. Maurice was the 1986 recipient of the American Film Institute's Red Ribbon award for "Spares," which appeared on A&E's "Short stories" series based on his one-act play "Pin- Pals". He also received the Bronze Award at World Fest Houston for "Glenn Miller said Goodbye". His other works include "Shakespeare Lives on Avenue A" and "Big Buddy Blues" and "Café Cha Cha".
