Margaret M. Maina, 80, of the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ.
Born in Merrick, LI, NY, Margaret resided in Medford, NJ for 27 years before moving to Leisuretowne. She was a parishioner at the Church of the Holy Eucharist in Tabernacle, NJ, and was a member of the Ballroom Dance of Leisuretowne and former President and current member of the Art Club at Leisuretowne. Margaret had an abundance of musical talent, and enjoyed playing the guitar. A nature lover, she also enjoyed cooking, decorating and the holidays.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank R. Maina; her children, Mark Maina (Dragana), Gregg Maina (Jennifer), Christine Dattolo (Robert), Stephanie Sarkees (Brendan), Nancy Maina, and Carolyn Maina (Marisa); two sisters, Martha Warner and Maryann Dietz (Paul); ten grandchildren, Rosalia, Dominic, Benedict, Annabella, Constantine, Leonardo, Daniel, Chase, Damon, and Filip; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Theodore Samuelsen and her sister, Patricia Smith.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, from 10-11AM, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM, at the church.
Inurnment will be in Jesus, Bread of Life Cemetery, Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Mathis Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.
