Lydia Acuña, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025.

Lydia Acuña was born on June 25, 1935, to Camilo Sr. and Amparo T. Garza.

Lydia was employed by Ratama Manor. She enjoyed dining out with family and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Lydia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

Lydia is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe S. Acuña, parents Camilo Sr. and Amparo Garza, her brother Joe Garza and sister Olivia Garza.

Lydia is survived by her seven children Velma R (late Angelo) Medrano, Arnold (Patricia) Acuña, Norma Gonzalez, Sandra Acuña, Albert Acuña, Linda Ann (Reynaldo) Rivera and Gilbert Acuña, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, brothers & sister Raymond Garza, Camilo Garza Jr., Maria Elena Chavez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Arnold Acuña Jr., Gilbert Acuña, Albert Acuña, Gilbert Acuña Jr., Freddy Rodriguez and Martin Serna.

Special thank you to the staff at Christus Spohn Shoreline, especially Registered Nurses Esther, Melinda, Julie, RT's Diana & Daniel and all our family and friends for prayers, condolences, food, flowers, etc.

Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on July 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening. A funeral service mass will be held at Our Lady of Pilar on July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
