A resident of Paterson, New Jersey for over 60 years, he retired from A-1 Elegant Tours as a dedicated school bus driver. Throughout his elementary and high school years, he played baseball. He was a talented and skillful player. He migratedfrom Charleston, S.C. met and married the love of his life, Jannette Green where they raised their children and resided in Paterson, NJ. Leroy enjoyed many things in life including his love for playing Checkers, watching black and white western shows and fishing which brought him great pleasure. But nothing compared to his love for game shows and especially, Steve Harvey of Family Feud!
He was preceded in death by his Wife: Jannette White; Brothers: Benjamin Jr., James C., George, Stevie, Levy, Benjamin II, and Hezekiah "Coley"; Mother-in-law: Adeline Colleton Green; Father-in-law: James Green Sr.; Brother-in laws: Charles Williams Sr., Elijah Green I and Elijah Green II; Sister-in-laws: Mozell White, Mildred Frazier, and Hilda Green.
On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Leroy departed this life into eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish precious memories with his loving children: Tanya V. White, Paterson, NJ, Leroy White Jr., Paterson, NJ, LoRetta White-Knight, Tobyhanna, PA, and Shannon L. White, Rockaway, NJ; Sisters: Georgianna Williams and Janie Lee Wigfall; Sister-in-laws: Janie Mae Law, Shirley Green and Linda Green Ford; Brother-in-laws: Terry Law and James Green Jr.; Daughter-in-law: Thembi White; Son-in-law: Gregory M.Knight; Grandchildren: Chileda L. Bordes, Mark Williams, Tatiana J. Patterson, Michael A. Vick II, Jamir White, Mekhi A. Vick, Faith Larae T. Vick, and Trent A. White-Blandford; Great grandchild: Emery Jade Jones; and host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.
