Lee Roy Allen, 94, passed away early on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Fort Worth.
Visitation for Lee Roy will be held from 10 until 11 A.M., on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, 400 Highway 377 East in Granbury. Funeral services celebrating Lee Roy's life will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Rough Creek Cemetery with military rites.
Lee Roy was born on November 3, 1930, in Granbury, Texas to the late Pete and Nettie Allen. He was a 1949 graduate of Granbury High School and thoroughly enjoyed attending his high school reunions. Lee Roy proudly served his country in the US Army. On July 2, 1951, he married Earline Collins. He worked for 38 years at Lockheed Martin as a wind tunnel machinist. Lee Roy enjoyed 'tinkering' in his garage and playing dominos. Additionally, he also enjoyed outdoor activities - particularly fishing. Lee Roy made friends easily. He will be affectionately remembered for his kindness, his honesty, and for his willingness to help anyone in need. Lee Roy loved family gatherings – particularly family meals at his mother's home.
Lee Roy is survived by his children: Sharon and husband Larry Ledbetter; Pam Tapp; Victor and wife Dawn Allen; Steven Allen; grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Brian, Telesa, Chelsey, Shane, Shawn, and Shannon; and great-grandchildren: Colt, Jase, Jackson, Ella, Addie, Holden, Skylar, Bonnie, Beau, Hailey, Cameron, Dylan, Clayton, and Parker; sisters, Carolyn Myres and Sandra Mason and husband Pete Mason.
In addition to his parents, Lee Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Allen; grandson, Blake Allen; his brother Don Allen; and by his sister, Edith Allen.
Donations in Lee Roy's memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
