Kenneth Anderson II Obituary

Kenneth Lee Anderson II passed away on July 3rd, 2025, at the age of 76 in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ken was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 4th, 1948. He grew up in Granada Hills, California, and moved to Utah with his family to start a motorcycle business with his father and two brothers.

Ken could fix just about anything, although he wasn’t a trained mechanic; he had a knack for anything mechanical. He loved working on cars and motorcycles with his brothers, and during the 1960s, they built and raced numerous “Muscle Cars”.

Ken served an LDS Mission in Ohio and also honorably served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He truly loved his country and often spoke to his family about duty, honor, loyalty, and the importance of selfless service.

On July 22nd, 1972, Ken was sealed to his wife Christine in the Los Angeles Temple; they were married for 53 years. They were always together, and she was faithfully by his side as he took his last breath. Together, they built a life and a family, one son and three daughters. Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. Family was always his number one priority.

Ken was easy to like; he had lots of friends and acquaintances, and no matter where he was or where he went, he knew someone. He had a great sense of humor, he was warm and genuine, and he always had a story to tell.

Ken loved sports; he was a lifelong fan of the LA Lakers, LA Rams, LA Dodgers, and the University of Southern California. As a former football and baseball player, he was a passionate fan who always blamed the referees when one of his teams lost. You could find Ken near sports his entire life, cheering for his kids and eventually his grandkids on the soccer pitch, the football field, the mountain bike trail, or basketball court; he loved it all.

Ken loved music; his all-time favorite was the Beach Boys; he saw them in concert too many times to count and delighted in taking his children and grandchildren to Beach Boys concerts. In his final moments, he asked his children to promise to play the Beach Boys for his great-grandchildren.

Ken will be remembered forever by his wife, Chris, his stepmother, Anita, his children Kenneth III (Natalie), Kelly (Eric), Shannon, and Kim (Brandon), as well as his grandchildren Keslie (Pace), Saige (Bobby), Riley (Auston), Aspen, Camdyn, Cooper, Cash, Crew, and Duke, and his great-grandchildren Hazel, Avee and Jack. He is also survived by his siblings Rich (Jill), Carol (Barry), Renee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Margene, his father Kenneth, his stepfather Richard, his brothers Jeff, Tom, and Mike, and his beloved dogs Dixie and Sophie.

Ken will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished, and his legacy will live on through the stories and love shared by those who knew and loved him.

To celebrate Ken's life, a visitation with the family will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on July 10, 2025, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary (3333 W. 5600 S. Roy, UT). A graveside service with full military honors will follow at the Hooper Cemetery (5290 S. 6300 W. Hooper, UT.)
