Julia Jones Jackson
Donalds, SC – Julia Jackson, 93, of 106 Bell Road, Donalds, SC, widow of Harold Jackson, passed away at her home on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Born in Hopkins, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Rebecca Jamison Jones. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of Benedict College, received a Master's in Education from SC State University and was retired from Ware Shoals Jr. High School. She was a devoted member of Good Hope Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess and member of the Pulpit Aid Committee. Mrs. Jackson was a Silver Star and Life Member of Iota Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Mary Dreher McClary and parents.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Felecia Lynne (Willie) Forrest and Pamela (Vernon) Morton, both of Greenwood, SC; two sons, Harold Lorenzo (Carrie) Jackson, Sr. Greenwood, SC and Michael Leon (Jackeline) Jackson, Loganville, GA; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11 am Friday at Good Hope Baptist Church and burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park. Public viewing will be Thursday from 4 – 8 pm and the Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony will be at 4:30 pm.
The family is at the home.
