April 19, 1933 – January 16, 2025
Joyce Alma Alford, 91, took her last breaths in her home with loved ones there by her side. She was born in Wake Co. to the late Foster Wilson & Viola Medlin Young. Joyce lived a full life, having a genuine care and concern for others. She graced this world with her wisdom and kindness for many years. Gone, but never forgotten. Along with the parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Stanford Alford and her son, Stanford Eugene Alford.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on January 21, 2025 at Zebulon Baptist Church located at 400 N Arendell Ave., Zebulon NC. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:45pm prior to the service.
Joyce is survived by her son, Dale Alford (Kim); daughter-in-law, Edna Barnes Alford, her grandchildren, Timothy Alford (Paige), Joy Alford, Hope Alford and her great grandchildren, Joseph and Austin.
Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions can be made to an Alzheimer's Research Association of your choice, to Amedysis Hospice or to Zebulon Baptist Church.
