Mrs. Janet Lee McDowell Hardwick, age 77 of Deputy, Indiana, entered this life on February 21, 1947 in Trimble County, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of Harrison and Virginia McDole McDowell, both of who preceded her in death. She was a 1966 graduate of Southwestern High School and a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Indiana. She was a loving mother to two sons and two daughters. She worked as a caregiver for Rescare for 23 years and then worked for the Jefferson County Red Cross as a case worker. She was a former member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Volga, Indiana and currently a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Deputy. Janet enjoyed sewing and being with her family. Janet died on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 6:40 p.m. at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute
A LOVING FAMILY
Janet will be missed by her loving daughters, Linnette Ora-Jane Sembach of Deputy, Indiana, and Jannette Lee Ayler and her husband Steve of Deputy, Indiana; her loving sons, David Evan Hardwick and his wife Ginny of Madison, Indiana, and Thomas Allen Hardwick and his wife Teresa of Kent, Indiana; her grandchildren, Brian, Tyler, Kassandra, Clayton, Danielle, Kimberly, Kathleen, and Jessica; 20 great grandchildren; her brothers, Warren McDowell and his wife Jo of Brunswick, Georgia, and Robert McDowell of Kent, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Harrison McDowell, her mother, Virginia McDole McDowell.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Brad Enevoldsen at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Milam Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana. TO JOIN THE SERVICE LIVE CLICK HERE
VISITATION
Friends may visit on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS
