Jan Marie (Raney) Lawson, born Dora Alice Jones, passed from this life peacefully in her home

Jan worked in health care all of her adult life, particularly in hospice, mental health, and the

clients with fondness and gratitude and felt blessed to have served them.
Jan was a certified herbalist and an activist for Mother Earth, creating a certified habitat for

Jan worked tirelessly through activism and outreach for many causes and organizations over
the years fighting inequality, poverty, and homelessness. Regularly she opened her home and
her resources to those who needed a bed, a meal, a ride, or someone to listen.
