Frank M Morber, of Akron, Ohio, left his earthly home and peacefully entered into eternal glory on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Frank was in his 88th year, being born on March 23, 1935, to Anthony T. Morber and Mildred Morber (nee Gumbarevic), both of whom preceded him in death. His brother, Ivan Morber, preceded him in death in 2018.
Frank graduated from Barberton High School in 1952. After high school he served his country in the Army National Guard earning a rank of Staff Sergeant before he was honorably discharged. He began his career with the Western Electric Company where he worked as an electrical technician before movingon to a career with Ohio Bell (now AT&T) as an equipment accountant and department manager. During his time with the telephone company he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University in 1977.
Frank was a long-time member of the Kenmore Church of Christ (now known as Compass Christian Church) where he faithfully served in a number of capacities as Sunday school teacher, youth leader, Keenagers director, head of the missions committee, deacon, elder, and trustee. He could also be counted on to be the personal welcome committee to visiting speakers and performers. Whenever the church doors were open Frank was sure to be in attendance. Frank was also a faithful volunteer at Mobile Meals, where for 22 years he delivered meals to individuals who needed them. Frank was a big sports fan and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons could be found in front of the television watching college and professional football, professional golf, horse racing, and nearly everything in between. Having once been a go-cart racer himself in his youth, he was particularly fond of all forms of car racing from NASCAR to Indy to Formula One. During the summer months he enjoyed the Saturday night races at Barberton Speedway.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of sixty-years, Betty J Morber (nee Hause); his son Timothy T Morber (Kelly) of Canal Fulton, Ohio; his daughter Tina M Wilt (Timothy) of Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren, Mary "Kayla" Morber, Hannah Morber, Daniel Morber, Lily Morber; Teleri Wilt, Blaidd Wilt, and many loving nieces and nephews. Frank will be remembered for his friendly and outgoing personality, the encouragement and compassion that he showed to others, his great generosity, and his smile that always lit up a room.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Boulevard, Akron, Ohio 44314. Funeral Services will be held 10 am with Pastor Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44314.

Sympathies from the Hartenstein family. My dad, Ray, worked with Frank at Western Electric and Ohio Bell and they carpooled to Erieview Plaza in Cleveland for years. It was a friendship my dad cherished.
