Ernesto Alaniz, Jr. 63, of Liberal, passed away on Friday July 18, 2025 at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born on January 6, 1962 to Ernesto Alaniz, Sr. and Josefina Ramirez at Brownsville, TX.
He married Beatriz Medrano on June 12, 2000 in Liberal, KS.
Ernesto attended Hannah High School and James High School in Brownsville, TX. then went on to obtain an A/C Tech license. He worked in the Maintenance Department for National Beef Packing then with Terry Rush for many years. Ernesto enjoyed fishing, watching the Food Network Channel, and sitting around the fire pit with his dogs, Chula and Cole. He also liked to stay busy while working on various projects around the house.
Ernesto is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Beatriz, Two Sons, Isaac Alaniz and wife Yuzby of Liberal, KS, Gerson Gael Alaniz of Liberal, KS; Three Sisters, Susan Jasso, Sylvia Garza, and Sophia Ramirez all of Brownsville, TX; Four Grandsons, Elijah Liam Alaniz, Yadriel Alaniz, Jayden Gonzalez, and Abdiel Gonzalez; Granddaughter, Alayna Alaniz.
He was preceded in death by Father, Ernesto Alaniz, Sr., Mother, Josefina Jasso, Brother, Ricky Alaniz, Two Sisters, Maria Elena Vela and Esther Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with the family present to greet friends.
As per Ernesto's wishes cremation will take place.
