Donald Howie Obituary

Donald R. Howie, age 91 years, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. He was the devoted husband of Mary (Balzarini) Howie of Plymouth. Born in New Haven, CT. on October 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Tracy. He worked as an accountant for most of his life after serving in the United States Army. Mr. Howie moved from Braintree to Plymouth in May of 2007. He loved the game of hockey and was an avid Bruins fan. Mr. Howie was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his family., especially his grandchildren and great grandkids.
Besides leaving his wife Mary of 70 years, he was the loving father of Stephen Howie of Kingston, James Howie and his wife Mary of Plymouth, Ronald Howie and his wife Kathy of Kingston, and Donna Gorham and her husband David of Plymouth. He was the grandfather of Kristan Gabra and her husband Alex, Stephanie Howie and her partner James Bustamante, Kelly Schick and her husband Mike, James Howie and his partner Katie McWilliams, Kyle Gorham and his partner Katie Moniz, Elizabeth Traynor and her husband Jared, and Sarah Howie, as well as, many great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Colin "Lucky" Howie and Audrey Zanoli.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:00PM in the CARTMELL-DAVIS LIFE CELEBRATION FUNERAL HOME, 373 Court Street, Plymouth (next to Cordage Park). Visitation with the Howie family will be from 10:00AM – 12:00PM.
