Cory Olsen Obituary

He was born on December 4, 1990, in New Hartford, the son of Michael J. and Kathleen (Pfluke) Olsen. Cory graduated from Whitesboro High School and was employed as a painter with Lindsey Painting and Best Buy.
When God made you he definitely broke the mold. Your smile so big and bright just lit up a room, your laughter was so contagious, and your presence was felt by all. Your sense of humor kept everyone laughing.
Cory enjoyed fishing, going to the gym, and sports, especially basketball and football; but most of all family. His favorite things to do were to spend time with his cherished daughter Emilia and weekends with his brother Christopher.
He leaves behind several nieces and nephews with whom he had a special bond. Cory will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Gone too soon but will never be forgotten. His greatest regret was that he and his best friend Jon never did find out who broke Post Malones' heart even after searching for 10 years. May you rest easy with our heavenly family. We are sure you were welcomed with open arms and hearts; you will never be forgotten by those that love you.
He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Olsen; cherished daughter, Emilia Grace Olsen, and Emilia's mother, Stephanie DeGrace; siblings, Stacy Mastrosimone, Michael (Melissa) Olsen, Brandon Olsen, Nicole Olsen, Christopher Olsen, Audrey Olsen, and Kayleigh (Justin) Olsen. Cory is also survived by a special friend, Jon Cramer. He was predeceased by his father, Michael J. in January 2022.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Cory's name to Emilia Grace Olsen College Fund, checks payable to Stephanie DeGrace. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I knew Cory very well. He was my roommate in the past. He adored his daughter and talked about her often. The best thing Cory did for me was give me a set of earplugs. He was always snacking late at night. Rest in peace, you are amongst the angels. You are with your Dad now. My condolences go out to his Mother, Sister and entire family. xoxo
