Obituary of Connie Jean Moore
Connie Jean Moore joined her parents and partner, Teri (Teresa Crowe-McCurry), in heaven on February 26, 2022. She was 74 years old, just shy of her 75th birthday in March. She was born in Hobbs, NM on March 25, 1947 to Maggie Ruth Smith -Moore and August Calloway Moore. She is survived by her sister, Juanel Marcia (Harold) Holman, son Samuel Delbert (Cris) Albro IV, daughter Michelle Renee Albro, cousins Wayne (Ginger) Shelton and Steven (Peggy) Shelton; and, grandkids Amethyst Albro (John), Ginger Albro, and Samuel Delbert Albro V. Much of her family knew her as 'Buggs' as she was nicknamed by the doctor shortly after she was born.
Connie passed away from natural causes mainly as a result of interstitial lung disease while under hospice care as a resident of the Good Samaritan Manzano del Sol Village in Albuquerque, NM. Prior to that, she was a longtime resident at the David Specter Shalom House for 20+ years.
Connie loved and collected jewelry. She also loved birds, big cats, and dogs. She expressed herself through the jewelry she wore, along with tattoos, piercings, and colorful hair colors. Her favorite things to eat were KFC, Red Lobster, and chocolate-covered cherries.
Mom, I hope you are filled peace, comfort and love!
