Carol Ann Stevens, 65, of Conway passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. Carol was born April 18, 1957 in Union City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Charles W. Totty and Betty Harris Totty. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Waddell and her brother, Garry R. Totty.
Carol loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol also loved gardening and enjoyed collecting birdhouses and elephant figurines. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite flowers were sunflowers & daffodils.
Carol is survived by a large and loving family, including her devoted husband of over 50 years, Wayne Roger Stevens; her daughters, Tammy Haselden (Thomas) and Tina Harbin (Dustin); her grandchildren, Haley Padley (Nick), Scout Rabon (Daniel), Hannah Harbin and Heidi Harbin; her great-grandchildren, Waylon Bell, Vallie Bell and soon-to-be Thomas Donald Padley; her brothers, Charles "David" Totty and Larry Totty; her sister, Sheila Totty Clayton; and other extended family members and many friends.
A funeral service to honor Carol will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway, SC at 2:00 PM. The family will receive visitors and friends during a visitation from 1 – 2 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Pastor Roger Chestnut, formerly of New Home Baptist Church, will be officiating. Immediately following the service, Carol will be laid to rest at the Stevens Family Cemetery on Cane Branch Road in Loris, SC.
The family would like to offer a sincere and special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for all their compassion and care to Carol and her family over these past few weeks.
