Ann Marie Schafer 'ReRe' a long-time Maple Shade resident passed away while surrounded by her family on January 4th. Beloved daughter of the late Robert E. and Anna M. (née Ginder).
Loving sister of Robert Schafer, Margaret (Frank) Rowland, James Schafer, Sandy (John) Spinelli, William (Denise) Schafer, Jerry (Cheryl) Schafer, Ellen (Kelly) Brown, Brian (Michelle) Schafer, Carolyn (Bill) Sabol and the late Barbara Vitale (Sal), Kevin Schafer and John Schafer (Joan).
ReRe was loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She'll also be missed by her special companions Minnie and Sweetie. ReRe was born in Philadelphia but spent most of her life in Maple Shade. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grade School and was a graduate of Merchantville High School. ReRe was as the office manager at Abcon Exterminating Company until her retirement in 2020.
ReRe was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially the Eagles and Flyers. ReRe enjoyed her time at the family pool playing her 45's and dancing her signature dance. Her family was the center of her life and she was happiest when she was surrounded by them especially the babies.
Relatives and friends are invited to ReRe's Life Celebration on Saturday, January 8th from 8:40am to 10:40am at Givnish's of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St. followed by her funeral Mass 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. 236 E. Main St. Maple Shade. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
