Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Marie H. Crum (a/k/a Marie P. Howell) Age 69, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on March 23, 2022. Marie was born August 2, 1952 and raised in Smithfield.NC. She was predeceased by her parents Rudolph & Dixie Howell and son Tyler Niles Crum. Marie was a graduate of the University of South Florida. She is survived by her son Derrick Howell Crum (Kathleen) and grandchildren Sawyer Howell Crum and Sutton Tyler Crum.

My condolences to Marie's children and grandchildren on the sad loss of their mother and grandmother. I hadn't heard about her passing until yesterday, June 7th. I would have been surprised by not hearing this before, as I have known Marie as a neighbor for more than 20 years, but after some heart-breaking tragedies in her life, she mostly kept to herself.
Marie was an astute business woman, a big hearted and fun loving personality and a giving and friendly neighbor. I don't think she exhibited her gregarious self in the past few years after losing her son Tyler but she was a hard worker and a good friend to a lot of people. I hope she'll be remembered for her generosity, her humor and the things she did for others without expectation of any return. The world will be a sadder place without Marie in it but I'm hoping, wherever she is, that she has reunited with her mother and father, her son, and those she loved that have passed before her. God bless you Marie, you'll be missed.
