Modesto, California - Corey Colegrove was born in Modesto, CA on December 25, 1974 and passed away at home at the age of 47 on July 3, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with ALS.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Keith O'Donnell; they had a special bond and were always up to shenanigans.
He is survived by his daughter Corey Jacquetta "CJ" Colegrove, Mom Gwendolyn Tackett, Dad Michael Tackett, Brother Scott Tackett, Sister Michelle Self and his Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Corey aspired to be the best dad he could be. Throughout his life he managed to spend as much time as possible with his daughter. He loved the simple things, like swinging at the park with her. They did that from the time she was little, for as long as he could.
Corey had a larger than life personality and took pride in knowing that he lived life "his way". With his mothers dedication and his daughters' help he was able to do it "his way", at home, until the very end.
Corey was a generous person, the type who would give you the shirt off his back or the dollar out of his pocket. He was wicked smart, loved fiercely and was loyal to a fault. Most of all he could make you, and the entire room, laugh so hard you would cry, every single time you were with him.
Corey was and always will be loved and missed.

So many wonderful and fun memories that will be with us forever. Wherever we are in life, we know we can always remember the funny-crazy times and just laugh. Thank you for all the great memories and all time we shared.
