Anna Williams Obituary

Anna Mae L. Williams, formerly of Clarks Green, died Tuesday evening at her home in Kirkland Village, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Robert J. Williams, who died in 2000.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Anna May Wendell Bednarek. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clarks Summit.

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Battaglia and her husband Alan of North Abington Township, Alice Taus and her husband Paul of Emmaus; one grandson, Gregory Battaglia and his wife Erin of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania; and a brother, John Bednarek and his wife Catherine of Cinnaminson, New Jersey and four nephews.

Anna Mae loved chocolate, cheesecake and cats (especially her Middie), and spending time with her many friends at Kirkland Village. Times spent with her daughters in Stone Harbor were some of her favorite memories. Most of all, the greatest joy in her life was her family whom she loved beyond measure.

The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit with services by Rev. George Mathews, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. All those attending are asked to wear a mask. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blindness and Visual Services, 1130 12th Avenue, Suite 300, Altoona, PA 16601.
