Samuel Charles Arrington

Macon, Georgia - Samuel Charles Arrington, known to his loved ones as Papa Sam, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 76. He was born on October 26, 1947, in Macon, to the late Terrell and Frances Arrington.

Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his devoted wife, Twyla Arrington, and his children: Tammy Smith (Ron), Holly Williams, Christi Murphy, and Mark Chambers. Sam was also a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren: Summer Smith, Katelyn Williams, Raines & Rynn Murphy, and Sydney Chambers. He is also survived by his brother, Pete Arrington (Vicki), his sister, Frances Arrington Brown and his nephews, Ashley Bates and Jarrett Arrington (Mirian).

Sam proudly served in the army spending 3 years in Korea. Upon returning, Sam took a job at Anchor Glass Container and after dedicating 45 years, he happily retired.

Sam was a member of Northside Christian Church for many years.

Sam Arrington will be deeply missed and his memory cherished by all that knew and loved him. A special thank you to cousins Margaret Noble and Wanda Hubbard for all of their love and support.
