Jennifer McConkey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 31, 2022.
Jennifer Renee' McConkey passed away May 5, 2022 after a long illness. Jennie was born June 15, 1973 in Salt Lake City to parents James & Deanne McConkey.

Jennie was always full of life and strong willed. She loved all of nature. The mountains, the desert and especially loved gazing at the planets and stars. She cherished all living things and a special love for her dogs Harley & Phoebe. She had great talent to build and create and was a proud former Member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 312 Union.

Jennie endured so many difficult trials with extraordinary courage. She never complained, instead always worried about everyone else. When you were around Jennie you couldn't help but learn by her example. Lessons of strength, determination, compassion, positive outlook, and unconditional love. She was the toughest person we knew.

Jennie spent the last weeks of her life being cared for by the amazing Nurses and Doctors at the University of Utah Hospital ER & Medical ICU. They showed her kindness, care & respect with every interaction. Many took the time to visit her in her last days to express how much they appreciated her kindness and gratitude. Despite her debilitating circumstances, she never gave up.

Jennie is survived by her Parents James & Deanne McConkey, Siblings Christine (Adam), Melissa (Steve), Keri (Kellie), Steven (Angie) & Matthew. Also survived by many nieces & nephews, and her little dog Tiny.
