Smiths Station, Alabama - Mrs. Gertrude Minger, 86, of Smiths Station, AL passed Thursday, November 4, 2021 in Phenix City, AL.
Graveside service will be 12 noon EST, Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Crawford, AL with Rev. James Q. Smith, Presiding Elder of the MPCO C.M.E District ,officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. EST. according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Minger was born February 12, 1935 in Russell County, AL to the late Willie Lou Jones and Charlie Sheppard. She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E Church.
Survivors include one sister, Ida B. Phillips; one brother, Jimmy L. Jones; three daughters, Mary Ann Salas, Virginia Minger and Edna Minger; one son, Royzell Minger (Sylvia); 30 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 16 great- great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild and host of other relatives and friends.
