Sandra Fein Obituary
November 2, 2023
It is with unparalleled appreciation and gratitude for the daily sharing of admiration and love with which we celebrated "us" and "we" for 28 years that Sandra Siegel's husband, Ron, has reluctantly accepted the reality of and need to share publicly, the passing of his most precious and extraordinary wife, Sandra (Siegel) Fein.
Sandra is the mother of Micky McNeely Sauer and Mindy McNeely, and the doting grandmother to Molly (Sauer ) Crynes (who was married to Gavin Crynes in June 2022, at Lake Arrowhead with Sandra looking on and to her grandson, Jonathan Sauer (who was engaged to Susannah Liguori on the beach in Malibu in October 2022 with plans for their wedding in June 2024).
Sandra arose in the early morning hours of November 29, 2022, at her home in Beverly Hills, but within a few minutes, she unexpectedly passed away with Ron and Anita, her loving nurse and friend, at her side.
Sandra was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to her mother, Mary Jo Vaughn, and her father, Olin Scoggins, and soon moved to Long Beach, CA., where her mother, a strong, self-reliant woman, opened her haute couture dress shop where Sandra spent many of her teenage years working.
It may well be that Sandra's love for her children and grandchildren and caring for her mentally and physically challenged sister, Sally, served as motivation for her decades-long participation in the California nonprofit SHARE, Inc. for which she became an officer and board member, and member of the year, to assist SHARE in its mission to help and support at-risk, abused or children otherwise in-need. Of course, at all times before her recent illness, she participated in Share's Annual Boomtown Gala as a "hoofer" and a "gypsy" on stage and "at heart."
Sandra has always been a true force of nature. She does not light up rooms; she lights up lives! Those sparking eyes, the greatest of smiles, and the most contagious of great throaty laughs. For Sandra, those were perfectly placed "this is my life" signs monitoring her overwhelming zest for life in the fullest, and her love everlasting, witnessed by her extraordinary loyalty and deep passions shared over decades with family and dearest of friends, like Carol and Bill, Corky and Mike, Lynda and Norman, Yvonne and David, Susy, and Tony, Shirley, and Saul, Lois and Ritchie, Judy and Ted, Emily and Michael, Heidi and Howard, Sara and Ron, Em, Suzanne, Ellen, Max, Delores, Marilyn, Tracy and Chuck, Mindy and Alan, Roni Sue, Shirley, Anita, and John and with her most recently adopted, in spirit, grandson, "little Ruben." She continues to be missed beyond comprehension.
