Edward Lossman Obituary

Edward R. Lossman, 97, of Mchenry, IL; previously, Gurnee, IL, passed away on June 05, 2022. Edward was a member of a Lake County pioneer family. Edward was born on August 12, 1924 on a dairy farm on the northwest corner of O'Plaine Rd. and Rt. 120. The farm was established by Edward's grandfather, George Lossman. Edward was a Veteran of WWII, as a U.S. Marine Corps Corporal. He partnered with his brother at Harvey Lossman Trucking; family owned. He worked for ReadyMix of Park City, IL. He worked at the IL Tollway, Gurnee, IL until retirement. Edward is survived by his nieces, Donna Boyer of Gurnee, IL, Doris Diane Lossman (William Corn) of Grayslake, IL; his step daughters Glenda Slater and Bonnie Moore of McHenry, IL; his great nieces, Jennifer (Jeff Peterson), Amanda Boyer (Francisco Gordillo); great-great nieces and nephews Lauren Grogan (daughter-Paige Rodriguez), Christopher Goracke, Edward Boyer-Gordillo, Nicole, Michael Peterson. Edward was preceded in death by his wife Allene; his parents Edward J. and Delia; twin brother Harvey J. (sister-in-law Doris J.), his nephew Harvey E. Lossman; his brothers Alvin and Eugene. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 9, 2022 at Justen Funeral Home 3700 W. Charles Miller Rd., Mchenry, IL 60050. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary.
