I just saw this and was saddened by the passing of your father and mother. I have lots of memories going all the back to 1977 (I think). Please accept my condolences for both of your parents. David Stevens ([email protected])

Mrs. Strauss's sons Brian and Randy were both employees of my company. They were both exceeding good employees. She sometimes picked them up after work and then always had a kind word to say to me.
They were wonderful boys, and she was a wonderful mother, who was obviously very proud of them.
I am very pleased to have know all three of them.

I was fortunate to spend time with Anita at a Planned Parenthood Fund raiser. What a delightful person! I am sure she will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

I have fond memories of my high school graduation present from Aunt Anita and Uncle Paul: a trip from Missouri to California to visit them and my four Strauss cousins in La Jolla! Aunt Anita also took me to the San Diego Zoo, Disney Land and Tijuana, and the beach, of course! Lots of great memories! And when my two kids graduated from high school, Laurin and Nate each got a trip to California too! She always sent thoughtful cards and gifts for our birthdays and Christmas, with loving messages. Below is a vintage photo of sisters Anita and Shirley with their mother Clara. Our thoughts are with you all at this time as you honor the life of your beautiful mom and grandma, Anita.

I intersected with Anita over the years, as she generously supported human rights organizations. She was a philanthropist, a businesswoman, and an inspiration to many beyond her family, who already carry on these traditions. May her memory be a blessing.

I loved sharing grandchildren with Anita. A lovely obituary, many accomplishments.

I´m so sad to read of your mom´s passing in today´s paper. She was my mom, Dorothy Lloyd´s, best friend and always enjoyed getting together with her for their lunches. Anita and my mom were civil rights activists together and always shared rich and interesting conversations about the world around them as well as talks about family, kids, grandkids and gardens. I know how it feels to lose your mom and I´m so sorry. She was an exceptional woman!
