I grew up with Joe (and Harold and Kenny). I haven't seen Joe in many years but I have some great memories of him back in the day. It's too soon and I mourn for his family and friends.

It is with profound sadness I write this tribute to Joe. He was in my life for 19 years beginning in 1978 where we met goofing around at a Tremper High School football game. He always loved a good laugh.
I kept tabs on him over the years and now learning of his passing, feel broken hearted. I send heartfelt condolences across the miles to his wife, Holly; his son, Dylan; and daughter Nicole. As well as the rest of his immediate family, mother Barb, father Dennis and sister Vicky.
Joe taught me about Eric Clapton, AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix... His love for music was infectious, and his award-winning chili was a masterpiece.
He cared deeply and fiercely for those close to him and would always lend a hand, not having to be asked. He was a kind soul.
Joe was comical and strong -- an athlete -- and had a quiet presence of grace.
I'll always remember his majestic stature, yet childlike, riding his mountain bike -- be it through Kettle Moraine, Wisconsin, Maryland or Alaska where he medaled during the grueling IditaSport mountain bike race.
Ride free now Joe, and Godspeed my dear friend. You will be missed
